Memories of Wuhan, China

It was strange to hear the name Wuhan, China in connection to the - at that time - mysterious virus that was decimating the city around the start of the new year. When I worked for Rare I did some work in Wuhan, China helping two of our agricultural partners develop a social impact marketing campaign and brand aimed at promoting organic cotton farming and manufacturing in China. Most of the time I stayed at a hotel in downtown Wuhan where my colleagues and I were conducting a workshop, but I also traveled out to the organic farms outside the city to conduct focus groups with farmers and make some videos. I didn’t spend very long there, but I considered it a unique experience to see the rural farmlands of central China and meet and share ideas with so many people there. I was surprised to hear the news coming out in January and thought back that time.

I thought while we experience now what they were going through only a few months ago that I could post a few of the photos I shot there. I made a few limited edition prints as well, titled “Wuhan, China 1” and “Wuhan, China 2”, check them out here.
