Massing 1 • 36"x36" [92cm x 92cm] • C-print from color transparency composition

In architecture "massing" refers to the perception of shape, form and size of a structure. For the average city dweller, the form and function of the architecture around them is ever-present and so gigantic in scope that most people's interaction with structures is reduced to a daily three-dimensional drone. With "Massing" I'm manifesting a visual record of the drone by compacting (or massing) this information into the basic, nondescript shape in structures, the square.
